Charles L. Hennigar was from Sag Harbor, NY and enlisted at Smithtown. His occupation on muster record was photographer and he worked at this trade untill 1888, after which he was admitted to the Soldiers & Sailors Home, Bath, NY. He died there in 1897 and is buried in Oakland Cemetery, Sag Harbor, New York.
